Why three of four marketplaces need a browser extension

August 4, 20261 min read

ArcList cross-lists for resellers on eBay, Depop, Grailed and Poshmark.

The extension is what lets ArcList post to Depop, Grailed and Poshmark. You add it to desktop Chrome from a download.

eBay has an API. The others do not.

eBay has a public API, so ArcList publishes to eBay from its server, with no extension. Depop, Grailed and Poshmark have no publishing API at all.

So the extension fills in each site's listing form in your own Chrome, signed in as you.

Why it is deliberately slow

Each publish takes a minute or two per platform, on purpose. Marketplaces watch for automation, and getting flagged can mean a restricted account.

  • Each step waits until the page has loaded the field it needs.
  • Typing and clicks run at human speed, with random pauses.
  • Scheduled runs space listings about 90 seconds apart, give or take.

There is no fast mode. ArcList can't promise a marketplace won't restrict your account, so it keeps the pace slow.

What it can and cannot see

The extension can only reach the marketplace sites and arclist.ai. It can't read the rest of your browsing.
