Branded packaging for a reselling business

November 3, 20262 min read

Branded packaging for a reselling business does not need custom printing. Blank poly mailers, white tissue, a logo sticker and a short thank-you card already look deliberate. A self-inking logo stamp brands kraft boxes and cards. Move to fully printed packaging once you ship enough orders to meet a supplier's minimums.

Two ways to brand

Full custom print: the supplier prints your logo on every mailer, box and card. It looks the most polished.

It also means minimum orders, and a few weeks for proofs and printing. That is a lot of stock to hold before your tenth sale.

Hybrid: you buy blank stock and brand it yourself, with a logo stamp and logo stickers. One small custom order covers everything else.

Start hybrid. Switch one item to custom print when you go through it fast, usually the mailers.

What a good unboxing needs

  • A poly mailer for clothing: light, waterproof and cheap to post.
  • A box for shoes, bags and anything that should keep its shape.
  • Tissue paper, folded once around the item and sealed with your sticker.
  • A thank-you card with your store name. Handwrite one line when you have time.
  • Clear garment bags for stock on the rail, so nothing ships dusty.

What to leave out

Read a marketplace's rules before adding a discount code or a link to your own site. Many forbid steering a buyer to buy elsewhere.

Keep the parcel light, too. Heavy boxes and thick inserts can push an order into a higher postage tier.
